Is anyone else over 18 years old interested in entering the Avatar Fanart contest over at Nick.com? ---> http://www.nick.com/shows/specials/comet/contest/
I just finished my entry, and I'm trying to submit it - but the site won't let me. Every time the file is about to go through, it stops and tells me in fat bold letters, "You are not allowed to enter this contest."
Um... what?
There is NOTHING in the official rules that state an age limit - only that you must be 13 years or older to enter. I'm 20, clearly old enough... but am I too old? It doesn't say anything in the rules about capping the age off, so what gives?
Age may not be the issue, but I can't think of any other reason why I would be denied entry. I haven't made any offenses to nick.com in the past - heck, I haven't even JOINED it since I was 14 and playing their Invader ZIM games. My file is the correct size, it has no logos, watermarks, or names, it's completely kid friendly... so what's going on? Why can't I enter?
I just want to know if any older fans who're entering the contest are facing the same problem, or if it's just... random? I don't know. After spending 20+ hours on this entry in a matter of three days, I'm a little ticked off at nick.com for this.

Is there anyone willing to share a table with me at Katsucon? Anyone? ;-; I was too late to sign up for an Artist Alley table, so now I'm stuck begging. ><;;
Since several of my friends at SCAD are driving up for the weekend and I'd like to tag along - but only if I can snag a part of someone's art table. If anyone out there got a table and is willing to share, I can make the experience most beneficial...
- I would pay for my half, so that's half the cost of the table gone back to you. I'm not sure how much the tables sold for, but it's usually around $50, so... $25 back? C'mon, who wouldn't want that? 8D
- I probably won't end up using half the table anyway. All I have is a small display binder, a frame with commission information, and I'd tape the few 11x17'' prints I have left to the front of the table to save space. Plus, since most of my work is fanart, I can't bring very much work with me anyway, (because the rules in Katsucon's AA are lame).
- You get your very own personal slave for the con! I can make runs to the Dealer's Room and bring back food, and I can watch the table and handle transactions whenever you want to get up.
- My cosplays tend to attract lots of attention, which means more potential buyers I can direct to you~
- You are free to use my 50+ collection of copic markers for the duration of the con. Don't know if I can provide paper, but I can certainly provide lots of markers.
- You also get a free copic marker commission and free prints from me. :3

So I had about the most horrible thought a Sequential major could possibly have around five minutes ago. I had just finished moving all of Zuko's Song into scraps, and was scrolling down my main gallery when I thought... "Finally! Now my gallery looks like it's actually filled with art!
...Wait."
I've been questioning my place in the Sequential department lately, and thinking that so naturally really didn't help. All the negative comments and critique about my 'style' I've been getting from classmates hasn't been helping either, nor is the fact that my mini comic is coming out looking like crap because I have to rush so badly.
Comic Arts Forum is tomorrow. I'll be hanging around outside Heidi Arnold's workshop, since I didn't get a seat. Hopefully it'll help. I really need an artistic pick-me-up. But she's so amazing, it probably won't. ><;;;

DONE WITH MIDTERMS! WEEKEND IS NOW! SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS AAAAAHHHHHHH~!!!
Maybe I'll actually have some time to work on commissions/artwork I want to work on for a change? D: I hope so. Oh andandand I get to cosplay Jack Sparrow tonight for SCAD's annual Gender-Bender ball, which is always... absolutely insane. I love it when I get to wear that costume~ x3
I want to post a few things I did in Life Drawing, but my professor has them. ><;; Must remind myself to bring my camera to class next week.
This journal is really all over the place. Probably because my brain is still recovering from midterms overload. I had mashed potatoes and vanilla ice cream for dinner last night. LOL SCAD cafeteria~

Half an hour standing in the rain waiting for a bus to take you and your friends to class is not fun. Especially when the bus you need to get on keeps passing you by. The busses are like... prejudice against O-House or something, I swear.
Though in the end, when we finally caught a bus, it was worth the wait to see xandrei flip out in front of our driver (and everyone else) when she saw another SCAD bus go by. If I may quote... "UUURAAAAAAOOGH! FUCK YOOOOOU SOUTH BUS!!!! ROOOAAAAAAWR!!!"
AND THEN on the way BACK from class, we get dumped off at the main dormatories because the driver is just NOT going to O-House. By then we were so fed up with the busses that we just walked the rest of the way. Thank goodness it stopped raining so hard by then.
Oh SCAD. Great school, horrible transportation system.

My first night back at work, and already all the waiters and waitresses hate me for getting in their way. We pirates get no respect. I try to stay out of their way, really I do, and it would help a lot if they would let me know when I'm not wanted instead of just glaring at me till I get the message. I'm too slow for that. And it's not just me - most of them hate all the pirates who work there. ;-; And I think there's something wrong with my new boots, because it feels like I've been walking on nails for the past three and a half hours. Seriously, there is something very sharp in them that needs to go. ><;;
At least I had fun being a crazy, slightly drunk Lizzie again. :3 And I didn't completely forget my routine like I thought I would. The British accent needs refreshing, though.

Avatar Nickmag... I need it. I'm so desperately itching to get a hold of one, but the downtown Historic District of Savannah doesn't seem to carry it anywhere. Not CVS, not Ex Libris, not Parker's or any of the other gas stations. Not even the little hole-in-the-wall comix store on Liberty Street that sells every other magazine in the history of magazines. They have Highlights, but no Nickelodeon. WTF man. And when I asked them if they could order it, they said no. D:
I can't get it tomorrow when it's actually supposed to come out because of a lack of transport... and work, (but at least going back to work will be fun). I'm going to catch an early residence bus to Oglethorp mall on Friday or Saturday, where I'll proceed to raid Barnes and Nobel like a starving rabbit raids a carrot patch. If that doesn't work, I think there's a Borders or something at Savannah mall, and if THAT doesn't work... then I guess I'm waiting for my parents to mail me my two free copies.
BUT I HATE ALL THIS WAITING. D: *rips out (what's left of) hair* ALDHG;LGLJ NEED NAO PLZ. [/whine bitch moan]
And in other news I have two comic pages due Wednesday morning and very little time to finish them. And I changed my layout, so come see! Oh, and for those on my flist, things are looking good so far with Captain Sparrow. <3

Packing, packing, packing today (because I didn't do squat yesterday), flying out tomorrow at 7:00am, moving into the dorms on Friday, going to orientation and shopping at Target on Saturday, saying goodbye to Dad on Sunday, going to two classes and work on Monday.
Back to life... :/ Can't say I'm too thrilled. I like being a lazy bum. xD;;
